Bowleven holds, through its wholly-owned subsidiary First Africa Oil (which it acquired in January 2007), a 100% equity interest in the EOV offshore block in Gabon - which contains an exciting oil discovery that it is seeking to develop and surrounding exploration acreage - and a 50% equity interest in the Epaemeno Block, which is 1,340km˛ of exploration acreage in onshore Gabon.


East Orovinyare

  • PSC signed between FAO and Government for EOV Permit Area in February 2004;
  • EOV Oil field discovered by Marathon in 1998;
  • field located 6 miles offshore in 65ft of water;
  • 7.4 mmbl est estimate contingent resource from CPR;
  • On first oil the Gabon Govenrment can excersise right to back in up to 7.5%.


Epaemeno Block

  • ECL report confirms prospectivity of Epaemeno Exploration Licence;
  • Lies on trend with numerous producing fields and recent discoveries;
  • Modern seismic reprocessing to be applied to the existing 1980's seismic dataset
